VisuCom Signs & Graphics of Orland Park, Illinois
was one of the first shops to try the new cast RapidAir
film. Using 3951RA and ORAGUARD 290 Premium Cast Laminating Film (Gloss)
the shop recently wrapped a 2007 Hummer™ H2 for a local Hummer
dealership. The owner, Pete Kouchis, had used 3951 exclusively for over a
year for their vehicle wraps but was anxious to try the new Rapid Air
version as well.
Kouchis says, "The (3951) adhesive system is the best we've seen for
contours, depressions, etc., but the addition of the RA (RapidAir) technology is wonderful. Ease of
application coupled with the best adhesive system out there, hands
down!"
VisuCom Signs & Graphics handled the concept,
design, production and installation. Kouchis says his client couldn't be
happier and plans to use the 2007 Hummer H2 for all of its promotions,
exhibits, and displays. The vinyl installation took 6 hours, plus extra
time for removal/ replacement of moldings, trim and other obstacles and
preparation of the surface. Kouchis said his biggest challenge was the
design, including selecting and blending the images, balancing colors,
and placement of the component images to fit the vehicle.
